Evaluation Project Officer

AAN is looking for Evaluation Project Officers for potential upcoming assignments with the following requirements:

Key tasks and responsibilities

  1. Assist the Evaluation Project Manager, and where required work independently, in undertaking project delivery tasks such as an exhaustive literature review of the project documents and other web-based information sources, contributing in formulating research design, methodology and tools for both qualitative and quantitative research, preparing work plans, participate in field data collection, developing and applying quality control procedures, monitor/supervise data management processes (data entry, cleaning, editing, coding, preparing data sets), analysis, reporting and closure) or other research-based tasks as and when assigned by the Evaluation Project Manager.
  2. Assist/lead in coordination and communication with associates/partners, consultants and field data collection teams; and undertake negotiations with partner, consultants, field data collection teams as and when required basis;
  3. Maintain project/s folder/s on electronic central data repository, keep it up to date with all the relevant documents either being sent by UNICEF or internally produced;
  4. Communicate with project teams on daily basis and undertake any other tasks assigned by designated team leader;
  5. Be cognizant of, and maintain all documents related with UN standards, norms, ethics and quality assurance measures that apply to AAN’s work;
  6. Focuses on capacity building of the team as well as his/her own on continuous basis;
  7. Liaises with the admin and finance staff to ensure items required for/during field visits are available on time;
  8. Keeps liaison with admin/finance section to update the project budget, project folder (with Consultants’ contract, invoices, time sheets or other administrative documents related with PMU), project progress and planned future activities;
  9. Adhere and comply with AAN’s rules and regulations in all aspects as well as AAN’s quality standards for delivering projects;
  10. Strictly observe and maintain the confidentiality of all the information/documents of the organization.
  11. Perform any other task assigned by the Evaluation Project Manager and the Managing Director AAN.

Requirements:

  1. Master’s degree preferably social sciences from a reputable and recognized university.
  2. Minimum three (3) years’ experience, in research and project coordination.
  3. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English
  4. Knowledge and experience about data analysis (Qualitative and Quantitative).
  5. Basic understanding/ background in; Health and Hygiene or Education or WASH would be an added advantage
  6. Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, relevant software),
  7. Good self-awareness, interpersonal communication and problem-solving competencies;
  8. Self-driven, resourceful and innovative and drive to manage multiple tasks and deliver results in time constrained environment;
  9. Ability to plan and organize work by identifying priority activities and adjusting priorities as required, and;
  10. Ability to work independently and as part of diverse teams.
