What We Do
The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) estimates that nearly 820 million people suffer from hunger while almost 2 billion people suffer from malnutrition globally. Access to adequate nutritious food is vital for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and children in their first 1,000 days of life. Nutritional deficiencies weaken the immune systems and lead to life-long physical and mental disabilities.
AAN has extensive experience in carrying out assignments in this sector, with special expertise in matters of stunting, wasting, malnutrition, Infant and young child feeding and community management of acute malnutrition. These assignments cover our experience in countries such as Yemen, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo and Pakistan.
