Evaluation Project Officer

AAN is looking for a dynamic and experienced resources for the position of Evaluation Project Officer. This is a mid-level management position (office-based) and the role involves working closely with the PMO Manager to support timely and quality delivery of evaluation projects/assignments. This position is fixed-term (6 months) however it is also extendable based on initial performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Supporting the development of an evaluation matrix (including the identification of evaluation questions, methods, and data sources).
  2. Conducting desk review of project documents and other external sources.
  3. Assisting in the design and implementation of data collection instruments and protocols
  4. Supporting/leading the project team to develop key project deliverables (inception report, workplan, field plan, final evaluation report, dissemination material)
  5. Coordinating with project team members, stakeholders, and partners to gather data and information required for the evaluation, leading key interviews as and when required
  6. Analyzing and interpreting evaluation data and contributing to the preparation of evaluation reports and presentations
  7. Managing project logistics and coordination with other stakeholders
  8. Communicating regularly with PMO Manager to ensure the successful completion of evaluation tasks and to provide progress updates
  9. Identifying and mitigating project risks
  10. Any other task assigned by supervisor under this role.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Masters’ degree from a reputable university, preferably from an internationally recognized institute.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar role involving project management (especially of managing evaluation and research-related assignments)
  3. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English;
  4. Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, relevant software),
  5. Good self-awareness, interpersonal communication and problem-solving competencies;
  6. Self-driven, resourceful and innovative and drive to manage multiple tasks and deliver results in time constrained environment;
  7. Ability to plan and organize work by identifying priority activities and adjusting priorities as required, and;
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of diverse teams
  9. Must be willing to travel, nationally and internationally as needed
